Sending Hugs

Happy mid-week everyone! For today’s card, I’m sharing a card featuring Gerda Steiner Design’s stamp set named, Sending Hugs along with Ink on 3’s Leafy stencil.

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

I stamped bunny and squirrel image from the Gerda Steiner Design’s Sending Hugs stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I colored them up using copic markers. For the background, I used Ink on 3’s Juicy Ink to ink up the Leafy Forest stencil. I might have put too much Juicy ink because I ended up with a distressed look once I added Chrome Embossing Powder.

This card panel was light blue cardstock but I wanted to add a bit more color, so I used Ink on 3’s Atelier Ink named Peacock Blue to blend on the edges and really loved how it turned out. I placed the images on a sheet of vellum that I die cut using Honey Bee Stamps’ Deckle Edge A2 dies. I added the sentiment by stamped using Juicy Ink and heat embossed the sentiment using Artic white embossing powder.

Step Up Card | Wild Hearts Card Drive

Happy mid-week everyone! Today, I’m participating in an instagram hop for the Wild Hearts card drive, which is an organization that assists dogs with mobility issues and their human families. Ricky is asking all his crafty Instagram friends to send cards to help support this wonderful organization. The cards collected will be used to send to doggy clients, packages, as thank you’s to donors, and will also be used to help raise money. More information can be found here.

For today’s card, I’m creating a step up card in both A2 and Slimline sizes using alongside the Gerda Steiner Designs stamp set, Puppy Mail.

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

I stamped images from the Puppy Mail stamp set using Ink on 3’s Blackout ink. Then I colored two sets of images from this set up using copic markers. Since these two cards are based on dimensions, I’ll have them listed below.

A2 Step Up Card

Main card panel is 5.25 x 8.5. I do this because the dog house will be .25 inch over, so it’ll fit into an A2 envelope.

Happy Monday everyone! To start off the week and November, I’m sharing a card featuring a couple of stamp sets from The Sassy Club. I really wanted to use some sets that I’ve been hoarding in my collection.

I stamped images from the stamp set called Seasonal Flat Lays to create an overview view of place settings using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I did a bit of masking to use some of the pumpkins from one of the Seasonal Flat Lays images to create decorations in the middle of the table along with the leafy checklists.

For the background, I used some lines to create a table along with a table runner. I added the sentiment from the retired set, Gather, but you can use any set you want.

Ink! Pink – Instagram Hop

For my card today, I used a few items from the sponsors of this hop.

I thought that this would be the perfect easy card to create. Using the Trinity Stamp’s Blooming Bunch as my main image, I used a bunch of the pink copic markers to color it up quickly. I really did do a quick color using flicking motions.

Last year, I used the same sentiment set and although, it’s retired from Honey Bee Stamps, it has such a good message.

For the background, I’m using Ink on 3’s newest ink, Sweet Petunia Pink. It will be released on October 30th, but I love the vibrancy of it. I ink blended it around the edges of the card and then used the other new color, Shark Tooth White, to splatter all over the card panel.

Erin Lee Creative New Release

Hi everyone! I’m really excited today because I’m guest designing for Erin Lee Creative in celebration of the new release. I adore this stamp company for her quirky, unique stamp sets and stencils. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to share my creation among this blog hop.

Today, I’m using the newly released stamp set called Grl Pwr. I love the powerful messages in this set and really wanted to showcase this.

I stamped out the main image and colored it in with the no line coloring technique. I also decided to fussy cut the image… mainly because one of my copics decided it to splat over my image and this was the best way to save it without starting over. There are coordinating dies for this set.

I decided to create a little scene where the girls were sitting on a cobblestone wall overlooking a view. I masked off the bottom of the card and used distress ink to add a strip of grey. I added distress ink to the rest of the bottom panel of the card. Using one of the layers from the Camo Layering Stencil set (which by the way is on sale with an additional 30% off at checkout – no code required), I add dimension to the wall.

For the sky, I decided that I could use the Camo Layering Stencil set again to add clouds to the background. I just picked larger opening and added distress ink to the bottom of the open areas in the stencil. How cool is that?

I really love how this card came out and think it’s such a great set that reminds that Women Support Women. There are some amazing sets in this new release and definitely check out the rest of the blog hop for inspiration!

Winter Scene

Hi crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring Ink Blot Shop’s stamp set called Snow Kids along with Hero Arts Snowflake Swirl Bold Prints.

I started with the background image by placing it in my Misti. Since this background is a positive stamp that doesn’t stamp the snowflakes, but actually the background. I decided to use Ink on 3’s Atelier Inks, Peacock Blue, My Jam Purple, and Paint It Black with a domed blending tool to place the color everywhere. I did stamp it a few times adding more color to get a darker background to my liking.

For the images, I stamped the two images from Snow Kids using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink and did some no line coloring using copic markers. I also ended up adding a snowy ground and fussy cut the image out to place on top of the background.

To add a sentiment, I stamped it using Ink on 3’s Atelier My Jam Purple on a piece of white cardstock and matted it on silver cardstock.

Scene Card | Coffee!

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Three Room Studio‘s stamp sets sharing a scene card to celebrate Fall. I pulled out a few stamp sets to put this card together. I envisioned how I felt when coffee shops started offering their seasonal drinks.

To start off, I pulled out the coffee cup from Awesome Coffee and the cup from Let’s Hygge. I wanted it placed on a counter once the barista has finished making your drink. Since this was a coffee shop, I wanted to add a person waiting for her drink as well as a chair to lounge in near the window. I pulled the lady from the Yay! stamp set and then the chair from Let’s Hygge and put them behind the counter.

I wanted to add a bit more detail to add to the scene. For the lady, I added longer sleeves to her outfit to portray cooler weather. I also decided to add a window near the door to complete my little coffee shop environment. I added woodgrain to the counter and I also pulled out the Skate Sleep Repeat’s little florals to decorate the coffee cup to give it a fall vibe.

To finish off this card, I chose the sentiment “Enjoy Life’s Simple Pleasures” from the Let’s Hygge. Because of all the things that have happened this year, I feel like this sentiment really hits home. 2020 has definitely made me appreciate the small things (even just going into a coffee shop to get a drink). I hope you take time out to enjoy life’s simple pleasures as well!

Hi crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card a couple crafty items for this clean card.

I stamped my image from Mama Elephant’s Pix’s Favorites stamp set using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink. I colored it up using copics markers for a no-line image.

For my background, I used Trinity Stamps A2 Foundation Rectangle Stencil for a focal point in the middle of my card panel. I blended the panel using Ink on 3’s Atelier Inks: Twiggy Brown, Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange and Bee Sting Yellow. Using Ink on 3’s Leafy Forest stencil on top of Trinity Stamps A2 Foundation Rectangle Stencil, I went over the panel again with the same colors to create a tone of tone pattern

I stamped images and masked images from the three different stamp sets using Memento Ink. Then I colored the critters using copic markers and used distress inks for the background to create a sunset vibe. I added the sentiment by stamping on a piece of copic colored cardstock.

MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar

Happy mid-week everyone! It’s been a hectic month but when I saw the contest for MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar, I just had to create a card for at least ONE of the three categories.

I stamped images from two My Favorite Things stamp sets, Our Story and Magical Friends. I just wanted to create a slimline scene which I could do a bunch of coloring because I’m entering this into the Coloring Virtuoso category. I’m definitely not a pro but I have been practicing no line coloring and definitely wanted to use what I’ve learned in the past year for the contest, including a galaxy sky! I normally use inks to create a galaxy sky but this time, I used copics.

TRS Challenge – Sentiments

Welcome to the weekend crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the Three Room Studio stamp set named, Mom’s Hibiscus for this week’s challenge (including a sentiment). This one is definitely an easy one. I actually had used a photo for inspiration that contained a lot of red/green but not Christmas!

I stamped images from the Mom’s Hibiscus stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black out ink and masked a few of them to create a corner piece filled with this floral. Then I colored them up using copic markers mainly using reds as inspired from the photo.

For the background, I stamped Mom’s Hibiscus scattered around on a piece of light green cardstock using Versamark ink, added Crystal Clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. I blended a couple of different green distress inks around the card panel.

I added the sentiments with Versafine ink from the Yay stamp set and added some embellishments. To finish off the card, I trimmed down the card panel and matted it on black cardstock. I thought it really tied in the entire card.

Metallic Flowers

Welcome to the weekend crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the Trinity Stamps’ floral stamp set named Blooming Bunches.

I stamped images from the stamp set using Hero Arts Unicorn ink and Strathmore Black Mixed Media paper. Then I colored them up using Altenew’s Metallic Watercolor. This was the first time I colored on black cardstock a full image so I carefully colored in areas one at a time. I also used a black pen to create the separate between the areas, essentially he links I stamped in white ink. Once I finished coloring, I added a gold border using the metallic watercolors. For the sentiment, I used the same gold for the border to cover up a small piece of black cardstock, and I stamped the sentiment from A Sentiment for (Almost) Everything using Versafine ink. That didn’t really work that well, so I stamped it multiple times and also went in with a black pen to dark it up a bit.
