Black & White | Honey Bee Stamps

Black and white cards are so understated — sure, I tossed in a bit of color for this one but it still packs a punch with those two colors. Honestly, I made this card using a pop of color instead of the subtle green found in the succulents and it was too busy. I reverted back and stuck with the simple colors.

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

Lift Me Up – No Coloring!

Happy mid-week everyone! I’m up on the ScrapbookPal’s YouTube channel sharing a card using Hero Arts’ Lift Me Up stamp set. And guess what? There’s no coloring today!

[INSERT VIDEO]

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

I stamped images from the Hero Arts’ Lift Me Up stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink and then I poured on clear embossing powder. I’ll be using the ink resist technique and ink blend on top while maintaining the black stamping of the images.

To spice it up a bit, I wanted to do a bit of color blocking and masking. I’m using Gina K’s Masking Magic Sheets to help me mask off a one inch area so I can ink it up. For the inking, I chose rainbow colors (Fired Brick, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Speckled Egg, Seedless Preserves) but in a more muted tone.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it down. I also matted my card panel on a piece of black cardstock.

TRS Challenge – Sentiments

Welcome to the weekend crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the Three Room Studio stamp set named, Mom’s Hibiscus for this week’s challenge (including a sentiment). This one is definitely an easy one. I actually had used a photo for inspiration that contained a lot of red/green but not Christmas!

I stamped images from the Mom’s Hibiscus stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black out ink and masked a few of them to create a corner piece filled with this floral. Then I colored them up using copic markers mainly using reds as inspired from the photo.

For the background, I stamped Mom’s Hibiscus scattered around on a piece of light green cardstock using Versamark ink, added Crystal Clear embossing powder and heat embossed it. I blended a couple of different green distress inks around the card panel.

I added the sentiments with Versafine ink from the Yay stamp set and added some embellishments. To finish off the card, I trimmed down the card panel and matted it on black cardstock. I thought it really tied in the entire card.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Retail Therapy – TRS Color Challenge

Welcome to the weekend crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card that plays along with the monthly color challenge over on Three Room Studios’ facebook group.

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

This card features Three Room Studio’s stamp set named, Retail Therapy. I stamped images using Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink. Then I colored them up using copic markers. I knew I wanted to create a rainbow to incorporate the color palette and used Ink on 3’s Atelier Inks by adding them in rainbow colors. I added the sentiment by directly stamping on the card panel and also heat embossing with white embossing powder on the black strip on the bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Happy Bee-Day!

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with a preview of a new stamp set one of Gerda Steiner’s newest stamp set named, Happy Bee-Day. It’ll be releasing in a couple of days on March 11.

When I saw this set, I thought that it was already perfectly laid out for a card already and that’s how I decided to create this card. I stamped these out using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink for no-line coloring and colored them with Copic markers. Lately, I’ve been really into the no-line coloring and I really like how soft it looks.

I originally was going to have this card as an one layer but with no-line coloring, it was harder to mask. I decided to cut out the images with a thin white border.

For the background, I decided to use a bunch of distress inks for a sunset feel. I used a mix of Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire. I just love how it turned out and how it makes the flowers and the bee pop.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment and the little bee trail using Juicy embossing ink along with Artic White and Chrome embossing powder. It made both of them really pop!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

You’re a Beautiful Friend

Hi everyone! I’m featuring a card today using bunch of Ink on 3 products all in one card.

I stamped out the floral images from the Heels to You stamp set using Fadeout Ink. I love using Fadeout Ink for no-line coloring and today, I wanted to go for purple/blue flowers.

For the background panel, I used the new Atelier inks in My Jam Purple and Peacock Blue. I used these inks on Canson XL Watercolor paper and created a simple striped background. I painted three lines of purple and two lines of blue. I love how it turned out and it’s such a pretty and vibrant background.

I trimmed my card panel and matted it on gold cardstock. Using some rectangular nesting dies from Hero Arts, I cut out a few borders. One was actually by accident but I liked how it looked a bit wonky and uneven so I used it.

I adhered the two sets of flowers on the top right and bottom left corner of the card. For the sentiment, I used the coordinating dies from the Heels to You stamp set to have the sentiment “Beautiful Friend”. I also decided to use Juicy ink to stamp “You’re A” directly onto the card and using Artic White Embossing Powder, it worked perfectly to match the sentiment in white cardstock.

I do adore how this card turned out and am really loving these Atelier Inks to create with.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Group Hugs | Waffle Flower

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring Waffle Flower‘s stamp set named, Group Hug. I’ve always eyed this set because it’s a fun one to stamp and color up. Lately, if you haven’t noticed, I’ve been really into no line coloring and enjoying it so much!

To start off, I use Ink on 3‘s Fadeout ink, which is an ink that is formulated specifically for no line coloring because it take on the color you lay on top of it. I love it!

This is definitely an easy card to make since the stamp image is so large. The set includes random accessories but I really just wanted to use the image in its original form.

Together with Copic markers, I colored this in. I definitely took my time with this one and took multiple breaks in between. No line coloring has been really challenging and also totally rewarding. I just love the finished product.

Once I finished coloring the image, I trimmed it down with a slight white border. On a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock, I decided to use two distress oxide inks: Pickled Raspberries with Wilted Violet on the edges. It turned out to be so soft and pretty! To finish it off, I used a bit of metallic white watercolor to splatter on the background.

For the sentiment, I stamped the word “Hugs” directly onto my background and then heat embossed the rest of it using white embossing powder on black cardstock. I trimmed the embossed sentiments down to strips.

Since the image is so large, the only space I had was the top left corner (which I noticed is a popular chosen spot for most of the cards using this set).

I love how this turned out and am excited to see how many other ways I can use this set. It’s such a fun one to coloring and I can’t wait to ink it up again!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Not 2 Shabby | Warm & Cozy

Hi everyone! Lately, I’ve been obsessed with no line coloring. I just love how soft and fun it looks. It’s also been a bit challenging to get down the shadows to achieve the right look. Today, I’m sharing a card featuring Not 2 Shabby‘s stamp set named, Warm & Cozy.

I wanted to feature the cute penguin in this Warm & Cozy set so I stamped it out using Ink on 3‘s Fadeout Ink. I went ahead and colored using copic markers with a mix of blue and purples. I just adore how this turned out.

I wanted to feature him since I spent the time coloring it but I also wanted a fun background. In the same Warm & Cozy set, there’s this large snowflake that I decided to stamp using Ink on 3‘s Juicy ink along with Artic White embossing powder. I did this all on Canson XL watercolor paper so I could do a soft watercolor background.

For the background, I used two Ink on 3 Atelier Inks: Peacock Blue and My Jam Purple. I smooshed them on my glass mat and mixed in a bit of water. I added the colors to the background and it came together beautifully.

To finish this off, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock using Juicy ink and Artic White embossing powder. The sentiment strip was the perfect place to have the penguin sit on top of.

I hope you enjoyed this card and get inspired to create!

Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the freebie Trinity Stamps stamp set named, Snow Mole-bile, which you’ll receive with a purchase with $50. You’ll also get the coordinating die with a purchase of $75 or more.

I just wanted to create a simple and fun card to feature this little cutie. I’ve been super into no-line coloring, so I decided to do that today. I stamped the Mole using Ink on 3‘s Fadeout ink.

I also used Trinity Stamps’ Slimline Card Series: Scenic Border Die Set to cut out some masks for the snow banks. Once I masked it too, I used the Season Greetings Silhouettes stamp set to add a few trees using Versafine ink and Ink on 3’s Clear Embossing powder. I also decided to stamp out the moon in Ink on 3’s Chrome Embossing powder so it stands out.

After I finished the trees, I used the Blending Buddy with distress inks to create a sky. The colors I used are Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. For the sky, I had to add stars, so I used Perfect Pearls and Permanent White Gouache to splatter it everywhere.

I colored up the cute little mole using some Copic markers and then stamped out the sentiment from the set. It’s punny!

I hope you get inspired to create and take advantage of the different sales happening for Thanksgiving and Black Friday.
