Craft Roulette | MFT Stamps & Mama Elephant

Ever play Craft Roulette? It’s a show that is over on YouTube every Friday night, where the parameters for a card are determined by a wheel. I’ve been on the show twice (you can find it here or here) but this is the first time I played along live since my friend, Shanna, was on the show this past Friday. The four parameters were 1) Coral and cool colors 2) pocket 3) 4×6 card 4) pocket. It was pretty fun playing live without having the pressure of being on camera and I was done creating shortly after they were done too. I love how it came out and find it so cute … I definitely wouldn’t have created this card without the parameters so if you’re every stumped — check out the show and play along on Fridays!

MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar

Happy mid-week everyone! It’s been a hectic month but when I saw the contest for MFT 2020 Card Design Superstar, I just had to create a card for at least ONE of the three categories.

I stamped images from two My Favorite Things stamp sets, Our Story and Magical Friends. I just wanted to create a slimline scene which I could do a bunch of coloring because I’m entering this into the Coloring Virtuoso category. I’m definitely not a pro but I have been practicing no line coloring and definitely wanted to use what I’ve learned in the past year for the contest, including a galaxy sky! I normally use inks to create a galaxy sky but this time, I used copics.

Wish me luck!

Colorful Copic Birthday Background

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring My Favorite Things stamp set named, Birth-Yay. This is one of my favorite birthday sets because it’s so adorable.

I stamped out the images using Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and colored them up using copic markers. I used a variety of blue, pink, purple, and yellow throughout the entire card so it would be cohesive.

I wanted to incorporate the same color scheme into the background so I colored a piece of white paper with one of each of the copic combos I used for the images. I then trimmed strips for each color and added them to a white piece of cardstock in a diagonal pattern.

For the sentiment, I stamped it using Ink on 3’s Juicy ink and heat embossed in Artic White embossing powder. It provided the perfect contrast to make it really pop.

This card was really simple but easy to put together using minimal supplies.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
