Silver Pigment | Honey Bee Stamps

I don’t use pigment ink often because I prefer dye ink for their quick drying properties but in Honey Bee Stamps’ new release — they have both gold and silver pigment ink! It’s perfect for the holiday cards that I’ll be making and I tested it out with this Holly Jolly background stamp — it works SO well! I was a bit lazy though so I did add clear embossing ink right on top to heat emboss so I could trap the color.

The elegance of hot foil is great but I love to add a bit of color to it as well. I used copic markers to color this up with a fall palette and it just goes so well with the hot foiled gold accents.

Hiding Die Cut Outlines | Trinity Stamps

This is one of my favorite hot foil dies for the holiday season and beyond because I think it’ll be pretty versatile. I thought it would be the star of the show, but honestly, I think the Polar Party image stole the spotlight. I no line colored it up with copic markers and die cut it out with the coordinating die because there was no way I would fussy cut this out. I don’t always love that outline around a die cut, so I just used my go to trick to hide it!

Rainbow Watercoloring | Altenew

My favorite “cheat” with watercoloring is heat embossing an image. Watercolors are finnicky and if you paint too closely to something that isn’t dry, the colors will mix and bloom into each other. The raised edges from the heat embossing contains your colors so it doesn’t get messy. Also, underpainting is one of my favorite ways to watercolor because it’s full of color!

Make a card with me! I’m using this solid, floral stamp set to create a Thank You card. I aimed to go with fall colors… I’m not sure I achieved that but I really love how it came out. This is a very simple but elegant stencil that can be the focal point of any card but I couldn’t help step it up. I split the paper in quarters and then rotated the design around the center point. Of course, it was perfect for a rainbow array of colors.
