Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Trinity stamps products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

You might have noticed that I created two cards… I just couldn’t help it! I wanted a cute scene that merged these two amazing stamp companies together. From Heffy Doodle, I used Gnome Matter What and from Trinity Stamps, I used Mouse House. These two sets set up a perfect garden scene. I couldn’t decide between the two card sizes but I figured out that I could make the same cards but with a bit of a different look using different card sizes, A2 and Slimline.

For my A2 card, I stamped out the little scene using the Gnomes and then the Mice with the Mouse House. I did a bit of masking with masking paper to fit everything on the scene. For me, a trick that helps is to stamp everything on a piece of scrap paper to figure out what needs to be stamped and masked.

For the sentiment, I used the Gnome Matter What set and that finished off the card.

My second card is using the Trinity Stamps Slimline Scallop Die Set for a slimline sized card. It’s such a growing trend now but I see why. It’s so fun to create a scene using it. I stamped out the same images in the same kind of scene, but it does have a bit of a different feel. For this card, I left space for a die cut sentiment, using Heffy Doodles’ I Love You.

I just adore how these two cards came out. Which do you prefer? Slimline or A2?

Now for the details of the giveaway…

Trinity Stamps and Heffy Doodle will respectively be giving away a 25$ and a 25£ vouchers to their stores! Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Tuesday, March 24th  on the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Blogs blogs.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you got some great ideas to mix and match your stamp sets! You can always create great scenes and cards by doing so!

Friends Forever

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day too! I’m generally not a big fan of the holiday, whether in a relationship or not, but I do enjoy the idea of showing someone you love them. So today I’m sharing a card featuring Pretty Pink Posh’s stamp set named, Friends Forever

I stamped out the images using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink because I wanted to do no line coloring with it. I used copic markers for my coloring since I’m most comfortable with them. All the colors will be listed below if you’re interested!

For the background, I wanted an ombre red/pink with a bit of stenciling. I used Ink on 3’s Marilyn Red and blended it using Trinity Stamps’ Blending Buddy. I went in with one light layer, darker on the bottom left corner and blending out to white. Once I finished that layer, I used LDRS Creative’s With All My Heart stencil to add a second layer. I did the same ombre effect with the stencil as well. With the ombre effect, it helped the little couple really stand out.

To finish off this card, I decided to heat emboss the sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh’s Encouraging Greetings using Ink on 3’s Artic White embossing powder.

I trimmed down my card panel just a quarter of an inch and matted it on a piece of A2 black cardstock.

I love how this card came together and I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Mr. Snailman | Trinity Stamps

Hi everyone! It’s 2020 and this year, I’m making a new years resolution to send more happy mail out. I have a huge collection of cards and would love to not hoard them. So to kick off this resolution, I pulled out the Mr. Snailman stamp set to share create a fun & simple card.

I stamped out my images using Ink on 3’s Fadeout ink because I wanted to do some no line coloring. Once I colored up all my images using copic markers, they were ready for a card.

For the top and bottom of my card, I blended distress inks using the Blending Buddies to create the sky and ground. I then heat embossed the sentiment in white on black cardstock. To finish off the card, I added a few Cinnamon Red Hots – Jelly Drop Hearts embellishments around the sentiment. I also decided to stamp the “Hooray for” sentiment right on top and it really completed the card. One additional touch I added was that I trimmed my card panel to 4″ x 5.25 and lined my card base with some striped washi. It just matched perfectly!

I just adore how this card turned out and it’s such a simple card to send out! Also, you can of course, stamp using black ink but I’ve just been practicing my no line coloring.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Cheers to 2020!

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s a start of a new decade!? Time has flown by so quickly! One of my new years resolutions is to create more for myself. I have design teams and deadlines but I realized that I need to create for myself and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Do you have any crafty resolutions for the new year?

Today, I wanted to create a card using I’m sharing a card featuring these critters I colored up for fun. I always revert back to Mama Elephant’s Party Animal stamp set at the beginning of the year since it’s so perfect to kick off the new year.

I stamped out these images using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink, which is perfect for no line coloring. I used a combination of Copic markers (colors listed below) to color everything.

I definitely knew I wanted to use Trinity Stamps’ Layered Fireworks stencils for the background but was worried it’d be too busy. I went for it anyway and stepped a bit out of my comfort zone. I gathered a ton of different embossing powders to help create this firework lit sky. Using Juicy Ink, I pressed on the stencil to get the ink on my cardstock and then used all the different embossing powders to fill up the sky.

I used My Favorite Things Stamps – Snow Drifts to cut out some masking paper so I could use distress inks for the sky and the grass. The embossing powder resists all the ink so once I was finished with the sky, I just wiped it down with a dry paper towel and all the colors were perfect for fireworks.

I went ahead and added all the colored critters to the card panel and added the Cheers sentiment from My Favorite Things Stamps. This finished off my card and I love how it turned out. It looks a bit busy but you know what, the more fireworks, the better.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

I Like Naps | Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring the freebie I received with purchase on Black Friday from Lawn Fawn. It’s the stamp set called I Like Naps. It’s not available for purchase right now but it probably will be later on. They do have a coordinating stamp set called Hang in There and I think I might have to pick it up too.

I stamped the image using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink and colored it up using Copic markers. I knew I wanted him to be the centerpiece of the card I created. Usually, I would do something like a distress ink back ground with splatter, but I thought that the Trinity Stamps Catching Some Rays stencil would be perfect. It’s a layering stencil that has two parts.

Using distress oxide inks for the first layer, I blended three different colors: Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Fossilized Amber. Then with the second stencil, I used Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade with some Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer paste. I love using the Moonstone color because I can mix it with inks to create the color I need.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder on brown cardstock. This finished off the card!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Today, I’m sharing a card featuring the freebie Trinity Stamps stamp set named, Snow Mole-bile, which you’ll receive with a purchase with $50. You’ll also get the coordinating die with a purchase of $75 or more.

I just wanted to create a simple and fun card to feature this little cutie. I’ve been super into no-line coloring, so I decided to do that today. I stamped the Mole using Ink on 3‘s Fadeout ink.

I also used Trinity Stamps’ Slimline Card Series: Scenic Border Die Set to cut out some masks for the snow banks. Once I masked it too, I used the Season Greetings Silhouettes stamp set to add a few trees using Versafine ink and Ink on 3’s Clear Embossing powder. I also decided to stamp out the moon in Ink on 3’s Chrome Embossing powder so it stands out.

After I finished the trees, I used the Blending Buddy with distress inks to create a sky. The colors I used are Stormy Sky, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. For the sky, I had to add stars, so I used Perfect Pearls and Permanent White Gouache to splatter it everywhere.

I colored up the cute little mole using some Copic markers and then stamped out the sentiment from the set. It’s punny!

I hope you get inspired to create and take advantage of the different sales happening for Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
