Retail Therapy | Three Room Studio

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring Three Room Studio’s stamp set named, Retail Therapy. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been finding myself making purchases during this shelter in place. I want to support a ton of small businesses. Have you been doing the same?

Originally, I meant to make this card a hidden slider card and well, it didn’t work out. I didn’t want to scrap the entire thing so I finished it off anyway and left it as a simple card.

I stamped out the main girl using Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and colored her up using copic markers. I wanted to create an easy background so I used some Post It Adhesive to mask off the bottom. I inked up the top portion of the card with Stormy Sky distress ink, and then went over the same area a second time using My Favorite Things Stamps’ Chunky Herringbone (retired). I like the effect of layering the colors for a subtle background. For the floor/bottom portion, I used Pumice Stone, Stormy Sky, and Black soot distress ink.

I stamped out the sentiments and since I played with a hidden slider which didn’t work out, I just adhered the girl directly to the card panel covering up my slider. Since it looked a little bare, I added a few embellishments to help fill the space.

Although this card didn’t turn out the way I expected, I’m glad I didn’t scrap the entire thing. Sometimes simple cards are the best.

Tea Time Buddies

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring Not 2 Shabby‘s stamp set named, Tea Time Buddies

I loved these images in the set and wanted to use as many of them as possible without creating a scene card. I also wanted to incorporate rainbow colors within this card to make it just happy and bright.

Here is my process video to show you the details of how this card came to be.

Everything that I’m using to create the card will be listed down below for your curiosity and convenience.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Card Sets

Hi everyone! Last month, I went to this planner event where there are assigned tables and traditionally, you can gift your tablemates small gifts. Although, it’s was a planner event, I opted to go with my forte of cardmaking and created some card sets.

It’s an easy gift idea that I go back to when I need a quick and easy gift. It’s a bit time consuming but when you have an idea of what to do, it’s not too hard to mass produce a simple card.

Card No. 1
This is one of my go-to cards when mass producing. It uses Simon Says Stamp’s Beautiful Flowers, stamped in any grey ink (here, I used Lawn Fawn’s Hippo). For the sentiment, I chose one from the More Essential Sentiments from My Favorite Things stamped in Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink.

Card No. 2
I love the Simon Says Stamp sets where it includes a stamp set, coordinating dies and a background stamp. This one in particularly is one of my favorites called You Matter. I stamped out the background stamp using Simon Says Stamp’s Maliblue, which is very very light in photos. Using the coordinating dies, I cut out the “you” and stamped the sentiment on a matching cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Card No. 3
For my third card, I used Lawn Fawn’s Happy Village set and stamped a background on the colored cardstock and white cardstock. For the white carstock, I trimmed each side by 1/8 inch. Using LDRS Creative’s Stitched Heart die set, I die cut out a heart. On the same cardstock, I stamped out the sentiment using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Card No. 4
I wanted to incorporate a simple card with some ink blending, so I stamped Simon Says Stamps’ Wildflowers using Versafine’s Onyx Black and LDRS Creative’s clear embossing powder. I used the following colors of distress inks for the sky: Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, and Carved Pumpkin. For the sentiment, I used LDRS Creative’s If Friends Were Flowers for the “Thinking of You” stamp set.

Card No. 5
This last card is all die cuts so it’s very simple. I used Heffy Doodle’s Quilted Heart Background. It’s a vertical die cover plate, but I used it here for a horizontal card so the cardstock underneath peeks through. The Thank You sentiment is from Pretty Pink Posh.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Slimline Friends Scene

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring LDRS Creative‘s Slimline Scallop Die set along with two stamp sets: Friends and View for All Seasons.

When I first saw the Friends stamp set, I thought about a cute scene where the two friends were sitting outside their house in the backyard reading. I wanted to include a house with the little garden arch but this seemed a bit crowded for an A2 card. Enter the Slimline card trend! LDRS Creative has this Slimline Scallop Die that worked perfectly for what I imagined.

I stamped everything out and just needed a bit of masking paper for the arch because I wanted the little wreath image on the door. I drew in a little house and used the curtains from the stamp set, A View From All Seasons, for the windows.

I colored up the card and added a few of the doggies from the set so I could use the sentiments that had the fun dog puns. It’s such a fun scene card and I love how sweet it is!

I hope you get inspired to create!

Boardwalk Mice

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring LDRS Creative’s stamp set named, Boardwalk Mice. I thought it was a perfect card for a fun look into the summer. I know it’s technically still winter, but I’m already thinking of summer!

I stamped out the images using Raven black ink to create a boardwalk scene under the little mice going on an adventure. Although these critters might be a bit tiny, I wanted to cut out masks for them. I used Masking Paper because it’s thicker and I can reuse them.

Once I had everything masked off, I pulled out the new hybrid inks from the new release and I wanted a pretty and soft sky. I chose the colors: Banana Cream Pie, Tangerine Dream, Fandango, and Parisian Purple. I do adore this combination of colors and it makes me so happy!

For right under the boardwalk, I decided to color in a wooden floor to really depict the pier. I just drew in lines and colored with some woodgrain texture. I think it really adds to the look of the scene. Don’t you?

I hope you get inspired to create!

Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Collaboration Blog Hop! Our design teams have come together to share some amazing inspiration featuring Heffy Doodle and Trinity stamps products, and there is a prize up for grabs, too!

You might have noticed that I created two cards… I just couldn’t help it! I wanted a cute scene that merged these two amazing stamp companies together. From Heffy Doodle, I used Gnome Matter What and from Trinity Stamps, I used Mouse House. These two sets set up a perfect garden scene. I couldn’t decide between the two card sizes but I figured out that I could make the same cards but with a bit of a different look using different card sizes, A2 and Slimline.

For my A2 card, I stamped out the little scene using the Gnomes and then the Mice with the Mouse House. I did a bit of masking with masking paper to fit everything on the scene. For me, a trick that helps is to stamp everything on a piece of scrap paper to figure out what needs to be stamped and masked.

For the sentiment, I used the Gnome Matter What set and that finished off the card.

My second card is using the Trinity Stamps Slimline Scallop Die Set for a slimline sized card. It’s such a growing trend now but I see why. It’s so fun to create a scene using it. I stamped out the same images in the same kind of scene, but it does have a bit of a different feel. For this card, I left space for a die cut sentiment, using Heffy Doodles’ I Love You.

I just adore how these two cards came out. Which do you prefer? Slimline or A2?

Now for the details of the giveaway…

Trinity Stamps and Heffy Doodle will respectively be giving away a 25$ and a 25£ vouchers to their stores! Winner will be chosen randomly and announced on Tuesday, March 24th  on the Heffy Doodle and Trinity Stamps Blogs blogs.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you got some great ideas to mix and match your stamp sets! You can always create great scenes and cards by doing so!

Happy Bee-Day!

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with a preview of a new stamp set one of Gerda Steiner’s newest stamp set named, Happy Bee-Day. It’ll be releasing in a couple of days on March 11.

When I saw this set, I thought that it was already perfectly laid out for a card already and that’s how I decided to create this card. I stamped these out using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink for no-line coloring and colored them with Copic markers. Lately, I’ve been really into the no-line coloring and I really like how soft it looks.

I originally was going to have this card as an one layer but with no-line coloring, it was harder to mask. I decided to cut out the images with a thin white border.

For the background, I decided to use a bunch of distress inks for a sunset feel. I used a mix of Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Chipped Sapphire. I just love how it turned out and how it makes the flowers and the bee pop.

To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment and the little bee trail using Juicy embossing ink along with Artic White and Chrome embossing powder. It made both of them really pop!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Awesome Coffee | Three Room Studio

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to join the Three Room Studio design team. I met Sandy, the owner of Three Room Studio, at Creativation and she is such a sweetheart! I’ve admired her stamp designs from afar and finally got a chance to color one of her newest stamp set!

Today I’m sharing a card featuring the Awesome Coffee stamp set, which is a collaboration with The Gray Muse. I’m a coffee lover so I adore this set and you can totally customize it as you see fit!

For today’s card, I decided to stamp out these images in two different ways: Blackout Ink and Fadeout Ink along with a bit of masking to create a design on the coffee cup. I wanted to show you the difference between the two different looks, with a slightly similar card.

For both coffee cups, I used a bit of Eclipse masking paper for the coffee sleeve and for the lid so I could stamp out the little floral images from the Skate Sleep Repeat stamp set.

For the background, I used Trinity Stamps’ Layered Coffee Bean Background because it was the perfect compliment to this Awesome Coffee cup.

In the first card, I decided to use the Layered Coffee Bean Background with Juicy Ink for the first layer and I heat embossed it using gold embossing powder. For the second layer, I used Ground Espresso distress ink.

Anytime I no-line color, I feel like it has a softer overall vibe. For this second background, I wanted to use softer and lighter colors so I went with Brushed Corduroy and Vintage Photo distress inks.

Since both cards have a pretty busy background, I wanted to soften the look of the coffee cup by using Scalloped Frame Circle cut from vellum to go right behind the coffee cup. Aren’t both of these cards awesome?!

I hope you get inspired to create!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Friends Forever

Hi everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day too! I’m generally not a big fan of the holiday, whether in a relationship or not, but I do enjoy the idea of showing someone you love them. So today I’m sharing a card featuring Pretty Pink Posh’s stamp set named, Friends Forever

I stamped out the images using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink because I wanted to do no line coloring with it. I used copic markers for my coloring since I’m most comfortable with them. All the colors will be listed below if you’re interested!

For the background, I wanted an ombre red/pink with a bit of stenciling. I used Ink on 3’s Marilyn Red and blended it using Trinity Stamps’ Blending Buddy. I went in with one light layer, darker on the bottom left corner and blending out to white. Once I finished that layer, I used LDRS Creative’s With All My Heart stencil to add a second layer. I did the same ombre effect with the stencil as well. With the ombre effect, it helped the little couple really stand out.

To finish off this card, I decided to heat emboss the sentiment from the Pretty Pink Posh’s Encouraging Greetings using Ink on 3’s Artic White embossing powder.

I trimmed down my card panel just a quarter of an inch and matted it on a piece of A2 black cardstock.

I love how this card came together and I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

You’re a Beautiful Friend

Hi everyone! I’m featuring a card today using bunch of Ink on 3 products all in one card.

I stamped out the floral images from the Heels to You stamp set using Fadeout Ink. I love using Fadeout Ink for no-line coloring and today, I wanted to go for purple/blue flowers.

For the background panel, I used the new Atelier inks in My Jam Purple and Peacock Blue. I used these inks on Canson XL Watercolor paper and created a simple striped background. I painted three lines of purple and two lines of blue. I love how it turned out and it’s such a pretty and vibrant background.

I trimmed my card panel and matted it on gold cardstock. Using some rectangular nesting dies from Hero Arts, I cut out a few borders. One was actually by accident but I liked how it looked a bit wonky and uneven so I used it.

I adhered the two sets of flowers on the top right and bottom left corner of the card. For the sentiment, I used the coordinating dies from the Heels to You stamp set to have the sentiment “Beautiful Friend”. I also decided to use Juicy ink to stamp “You’re A” directly onto the card and using Artic White Embossing Powder, it worked perfectly to match the sentiment in white cardstock.

I do adore how this card turned out and am really loving these Atelier Inks to create with.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Hey Love

Hi everyone! This year I’ve been trying to do a few more card challenges to pull my ideas outside the box or out of my comfort zone. I entered a couple cards into Simon Says Stamp IG Challenge and while I had some die cuts out, I pulled out Simon Says Stamp’s Stacked Hearts along with Hey Love.

These die cuts were enough to be the focal point of a card so I just needed a fun background to pair with it.

I pulled out my Ink on 3 Atelier Inks to create a easy, watercolored background. I used the colors Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange, Bee Sting Yellow, Goddess Green, and Peacock Blue. I layered the colors twice and was really happy with how it looked! Isn’t it so pretty?!

I did add in some of the hearts from the Stacked Heart die cuts which really made it really pretty and didn’t look so empty.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!
