Birthday Photos!

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring a mixture of three dies and featuring the Lawn Fawn’s stamp sets: Happy Village & Bicycle Built for You.

I wanted to use the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer in a different way but I didn’t have the add ons so I improvised. I grabbed Ellen Hutson’s Instant Photo Frames and what do you know? It fits perfect over the square for the Picture Changer.

I went ahead and stamped out my little images that would fit into three different picture frames using a mix of Lawn Fawn’s Happy Village and Bicycle Built for You creating three mini scenes. The main one with the boy and his cake is the main one that I used for the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer.

I wanted a sentiment to really pop so I used a mix of two Mama Elephant’s die cuts (Happy Script & Birthday Script) that combined really make a statement “Happy Birthday”.

To finish off this card, I just added some confetti sprinkled around the card.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Die Cut Hearts & Embossing

Hi crafty friends! I’m back today as a guest designer for Wow! Embossing Powder for another post. After my first project using only embossing powders and stampnig for a card, I couldn’t help but create another card using only embossing powders. This time, it’s strictly a die cut card, no stamping needed.

I wanted to play with die cut hearts so I used LDRS Creative’s Stitched Heart Die. This set comes with three sizes and I used the smallest two. Before die cutting, I swiped my white cardstock with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad to make my cardstock sticky for the embossing powders. I used three different colors: Glassy OceanBahama and MontserratGlassy Ocean is smooth and pretty where Bahama and Montserrat are both glittery and oh so fun!

I arranged them diagonally against an A2 black card panel. Once I decided on the placement, I glued it all down. I used the sentiment from LDRS Creative’s Open Heart die and glued it directly on the middle heart.

I thought that with just the hearts, it looked a little plain. Again, I swiped my white cardstock with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad and added Glassy Ocean so I could create strips. I also trimmed out a few pieces of white cardstock because Bahama and Montserrat both have white specks in the embossing powder.

The strips really added interest to the card and really finished it off. This card was a quick and easy card that required no stamping.

If you’re interested, my process video can be seen over at my YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Rainbows!

Hi crafty friends! My name is Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) and I’m back to share another card as a guest designer today. Today’s post focuses on one of Erin Lee Creative stamp sets named, Koko Girl Couch, that can also be found in their sale section along with its coordinating die, so now is definitely the time to pick it up. Also, I am using one of her Rainbow stencils found in the Somewhere kit

I’ve seen a lot of simple cards using the Rainbows from the Somewhere kit so I wanted to share a new way to incorporate it into a card. Rainbows are so fun to see when you look out a window. Since we’ve been staying inside more so than ever, I decided it would be perfect to use Koko Girl Couch with a rainbow outside her window.

For the window, I masked off the top right hand corner of this card panel and added each color one by one using distress inks. I did have to mask off each portion of the rainbow but with some masking tape, it was very quick to do.

I created a quick scene using a couple lines for the window and floor. I actually colored the Koko Girl Couch on a seperate piece of paper using no-line coloring and fussy cut her out. I have the coordinating die but I thought it would be prettier without the white outline. Once my scene was set, I just added her on there next to the window. I also used the sentiment from the Koko Girl Couch set. You’ll notice that I split the sentiment into two lines by masking to make it fit at the bottom right of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Heffy Doodle x Ink on 3 Collab

Hi friends! Thanks for joining me today in our Heffy Doodle x Ink on 3 Collab. Heffy Doodle will be giving away a 25£ gift certificate and an Ink on 3 a $25 gift certificate to their respective stores. Just leave a comment at each stop. Winners will be chosen randomly and announced on Sunday, June 7th on the Heffy Doodle and Ink On 3 blogs.

I’m sharing a card featuring both crafty companies. I stamped the images from Heffy Doodle’s Oceans of Love with Ink on 3’s Fadeout ink. I wanted to do some no line coloring and Fadeout Ink is my favorite for it. Once all my images were colored, I wanted to work on the background.

I used two colors from Ink on 3’s Atelier Inks: Peacock Blue and My Jam Purple. I smooshed the ink pad on my glass media mat, spritzed it with a bit of water, and took a piece of acetate to pick up the color. I added it to a piece of watercolor. Since the inks are relatively dry, I had a lot of control of the ink and I was able to create a splatter look on the card panel.

I used the sentiment from Heffy Doodle’s Oceans of Love stamp set using Juicy Ink along with Artic White embossing powder on black cardstock.

To finish off this card, I added some clear embellishments that look like water bubbles. I hope you get inspired to create!

Remember to leave a comment for a chance to win a gift certificate.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Hi friends! Happy Mother’s day to all the moms out there! I know that with the shelter in place, it’s even tougher for all the moms but I hope you’re hanging in there! Today I’m sharing a card featuring Trinity Stamp’s Love You Bunches stamp set along with the Trinity Stamp’s Slimline Card Series: Wonky Stitched Wilderness and Marshmallow Alphabet.

I used the card base from Slimline Card Series: Wonky Stitched Wilderness to trace the outside of the die so I knew where to stamp the florals. I stamped the main image twice from Love You Bunches within my traced area. Then, I used the card base from Slimline Card Series: Wonky Stitched Wilderness to cut out diecut my card base. The two florals on this card base looked so pretty!

I quickly colored both of the images using the same colors while watching tv. It was super relaxing!

Afterwards, I decided to use the Marshmallow Alphabet to cut out the letters to spell MOM and colored them using the same purples I used for the florals. Once those were colored in, I added them to the card and thought this was so pretty for my mom. Plus she loves purple!

I hope you get inspired to create! It’s such a simple card to create and so fun to color! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Embossing Only Cards

Hi crafty friends! I’m so excited to be guest designing for Wow! Embossing Powder for this month. I’ll be sharing a variety of different cards using embossing powders in different ways to create cards so I hope you enjoy them. For my first post, I’m sharing three cards that are created strictly with just embossing powders.

I wanted to play with darker cardstock mixed with embossing powder. I pulled out three colors of cardstock: red, blue, and black. To pair the embossing powder, I chose Rose GlintzMetallic Gold Rich Pale, and Metallic Silver

I decided to use Pretty Pink Posh’s Wild Rose stamp set for the three cards. These are large floral images that are perfect for the idea I had for these cards. Here are my pairings: Rose Glintz & black cardstock, Metallic Gold Rich Pale & blue cardstock, and Metallic Silver & red cardstock. I used all these images to stamp on the cardstock using the WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad and heat embossed the images. I didn’t have the coordinating dies but these were all easy to cut out.

For my main card panels, I trimmed them down so I could mat them on a card panel so the embossing powder peeks out on the edges. I just swiped the WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad on the edges and heat embossed them.

I wanted to add some accents to the card panel and Simon Says Stamps’ Brushstroke Messages has these two brushstroke lines, it was perfect. Before I add all the floral images to the card panel, I wanted to emboss the sentiment. Using the Opaque Bright White, I stamped out the sentiment and this color is SO bright that I love how it stands out on the dark cardstock.

I placed all the florals in the same position for all three cards and love how it all came together. I also have created a video to go along with it so please go ahead and check it out HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Colorful Copic Birthday Background

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring My Favorite Things stamp set named, Birth-Yay. This is one of my favorite birthday sets because it’s so adorable.

I stamped out the images using Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and colored them up using copic markers. I used a variety of blue, pink, purple, and yellow throughout the entire card so it would be cohesive.

I wanted to incorporate the same color scheme into the background so I colored a piece of white paper with one of each of the copic combos I used for the images. I then trimmed strips for each color and added them to a white piece of cardstock in a diagonal pattern.

For the sentiment, I stamped it using Ink on 3’s Juicy ink and heat embossed in Artic White embossing powder. It provided the perfect contrast to make it really pop.

This card was really simple but easy to put together using minimal supplies.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Superhero Scrubs

Hi crafty friends! My name is Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) and I’m so excited to be guest designing for Erin Lee Creative today. Today’s post focuses on one of her newest sets, Superhero Scrubs,  that is on sale AND a portion of the proceeds go to benefit local Covid-19 relief efforts. Not to mention the fact that they are adorable!

My cards for today are very simple to put together. I stamped these two main images out right away using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink and they looked perfect for some no line coloring. I colored both images with similar colors because I wanted to create a two card set. Of course, if you wanted to mass produce these images for essential workers, you could by doing simple coloring but for me, no line coloring is really relaxing.

On both of my card panels, I masked off a line across the card and used dark gray and black distress ink to create a ground for the images. I also trimmed both A2 card panels down a quarter of an inch so it’s 4in x 5.25in so I can mat it on a piece of red cardstock. Since I have a hint of red in both images, it really ties the cards together.

The Superhero Scrubs includes so many fun sentiments that are perfect for creating a card that all you need is the image paired with one of them and that’s what I did here. For the male nurse, I placed him next to the “The Best Superheros Wear Scrubs”. For the female nurse, I used two sentiments: “Hero” and “Thank You”.

To finish off the card, I added a few embellishments just to fill up the white space and I couldn’t help it! I really love how these turned out and I hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Up and Away

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring LDRS Creative’s stamp set and die named, Up and Away Pocket Pals. Generally, I love any stamp set that includes balloons because they are so fun and happy. I’m such a kid at heart.

I stamped out three little images using Raven black in and colored them up using alcohol markers. My idea was to create a sky panel for these critters on the left hand side of the card.

To create a sky panel, I decided to pull colors from the rainbow so I used Fandango, Tangerine Dream, Banana Cream Pie, Prickly Pear Perfection, Marina Madness, and Parisian Purple along with the Rainy Day Stencil. Using just the top portion of the stencil, I inked up the sky.

Once this panel was ready, I stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the card and trimmed it to size. I added the three images I die cut out using the coordinating dies and added it to the panel. Sidenote, I did trim a little closer to the actual image lines so it looked more fluid. Die cuts leave a small white border and in this case, I wanted it to remove it.

To finish off the card, I placed a few colorful embellishments around the panel, just to give the card something extra. I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Black Outline & No-Line Coloring | Ink on 3

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Ink on 3’s stamp set named Fox and Bunny Hugs stamp set along with the Leafy Forest stencil. These two are part of the new release and there’s a bundle on sale right now, which you can find here

Also, today is the last day for the 25% sale that Ink on 3 is having in conjunction with the Spread Joy, Not Germs blog hop. Use the code: SPREADJOYNOTGERMS for 25% on the Ink on 3 site.

I have a video for these two cards but generally for both my cards, I decided to use Atelier Inks re-inkers mixed with some shimmer paste, specifically Goddess Green and Bee Sting Yellow with the Leafy Forest stencil. I had leftovers of the shimmer paste mixture so I added the excess a second card.

I colored up the Fox and Bunny Hugs main image stamped in the Blackout ink and Fadeout ink so I could do a normal coloring and no-line coloring. I wanted to create two different looks for the cards.

If you’re interested in all the steps for how these cards came together, come by the YouTube channel for the full process video HERE

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Spread Joy, Not Germs

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by as part of this HUGE blog hop.

I hope you’re staying inside and staying safe! Today I’m sharing a card focusing on two stamp companies using Trinity Stamp‘s die set, Marshmallow Alpha along with Ink on 3‘s Atelier inks.

I have been addicted to rainbows recently and incorporating them into my cards. I didn’t set out create a muted rainbow card but that’s just how it turned out and I kinda love it.

Here is my process video to show you the details of how this card came to be.
