I always want to add color to my cards and whenever I get a chance, I’m going to do it. I wanted a variety of color among these lure dies. Even though there are layers, I kept with my color combos to make it cohesive but honestly, you can pick contrasting colors as well. You just can’t go wrong here!

I really wanted to use this one leafy image to fill up a background and I chose gold on navy but then, it was such a contrasting background that I needed to tone it down a bit. By just pulling out a piece of vellum, it allows me to let the focal image of this card to really stand out!

Is there a crafty technique that you’ve avoided? For me, it’s been 3D embossing folders — but not anymore! I just never took the time to figure out how they worked and I couldn’t ever remember the sandwich combination for them. I also really like coloring and usually with the folders, you just don’t need to. I had to bring my own flair to it and used rainbow colors to create this pretty simple card!
