Small Images, Big Die Cut | Picket Fence Studios

Smaller images are harder to create a scene since you need to use more to fill up the space BUT if you use a large die cut sentiment, you can place the images within and fill up the space that way.

You always can create a mini scene when you have a smaller stamp set or small images. I set it up on the top portion of my card, heat embossed, ink blended, and then added the sentiment along with colored images. It’s an easy layout that you can use with all your sets!

Stamping crisp images is very important to me — it just looks nicer and more professional. However, this is one of the exceptions — where you ink up your images using distress oxide inks. This type of ink is water reactive and before stamping it, I’ll spritz it with water and then stamp! It provides such a cool look.

Alcohol Ink Die Cuts | Picket Fence Studios

I haven’t played with alcohol inks in quite a bit of time. Crafty supplies kinda cycle and I pulled these alcohol inks back out. I really wanted my favorite mix of colors — pink, blue and purple. Yupo paper was a bit hard to die cut out but remember to use a metal shim just to make sure it cuts. I also love how this little window works perfectly with the feathers!
