This card isn’t my usual card — I actually have a really hard time with pattern paper or pre-printed card fronts so it takes me more brainpower to pull items together. HOWEVER – these card fronts were really pretty and I wanted to use them! How do you think I did?

I honestly forget to incorporate die cut sentiments into stamped images on a card. Usually, I leave my sentiment for the end and put it where I can. Here, I planned out the spacing early and then stamped around my sentiment. I kinda love how it turned out.

Summertime is almost here and I love these products that create the perfect watery effect. I added a bit of my own waves by just a simple technique… ripping!

Alcohol inks are really fun to play with and I end up creating a ton of backgrounds at a time. Sometimes you love how they turn out and sometimes, you don’t. That’s ok! Here I really love it but I still paired it with a cover plate… if you hated it, you could also do the same and it is a hidden pop of color right underneath.

Hi friends, today, I’m sharing a card I created using the Sneak Peek Club kit No. 2 for 2024 from Waffle Flower Crafts. The Sneak Peek Club kit is a monthly subscription that allows you to play with a handful of Waffle Flower products about a month before their official release date. For today’s card, I totally fell in love with these little strawberries in the Multiple Strawberries Die-n-Stencil. They are so cute! I really wanted them to look dimensional so I used a few colors to ink these up: Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Candied Apple, Rustic Wilderness, Pine Needles. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out as well.
I pulled out the Gingham Paper and used those die cut strawberries lined up on edge of my pattern paper. I thought it would be fun to have a funky edge. I pulled out a piece of green cardstock to back up that piece for a pop of color.
To finish off this card, I used the Subsentiments – Berry Sweet to quickly add the sentiment. I kinda love these because my favorite way to stamp sentiments is using white embossing on black cardstock — this saves me the trouble of stamping and heat embossing.

Today, I’m sharing one of my favorites that I created using some of the Spring Catalog items. I die cut the Floral Wreath Fancy Die out of white cardstock because I wanted to use my copic markers to color in all the florals and leafy bits. Once I finished coloring, I die cut a piece of Cup Of Joe Cardstock using the same Floral Wreath Fancy Die and glued the colored die cut on top, just a little off set to look like a shadow.
For my background, I pulled out a piece of Sand Cardstock and then stamped it with the Rain Texture Bold Prints using Espresso Core Ink. I love this background stamp because it’s a very subtle pattern so your focus won’t be pulled away from your main focal point.

For today’s card, I wanted to use all the items in the kit. I started off with using the Daisy Background Stencil Duo to create my background. I used it them on top of an 6×6 grip mat to make it easy on me, ink blending with distress inks. I used my shader brushes to really get colors in certain areas, which makes it really easy to get a dimensional look to the florals.
I really loved the font from the You & Me stamp set, so I wanted to create a little panel with the subsentiments but I also wanted to still use the large “you & me”.
I used the Layered Daisy die to add subtle accents around my sentiment. It’s super subtle but I love how it adds to it but doesn’t take away from the sentiment. If you want to see how this card came together visually, I have a video!

Paper scraps? Die cut shapes? It’s a perfect pairing. I love that you can use any color you want and it works really well with any possible sentiment right in the middle! It’s a simple card and one you can easily mass produce and use up your scraps at the same time.

Hi friends! There have been so many amazing projects already shared in the past two days of the blog hop and there’s so much inspiration today as well! Be sure to check it all out and today’s lineup! For today, I’m sharing this pretty Valentine’s or Love card that I put together using some of the new items from Pretty Pink Posh’s January release.
With a standalone die set, I tend to like to die cut from white cardstock and then color instead of using scraps. Frankly, I probably should use scraps to use them up but I just love the added look of dimension by coloring using markers. A trick I use is to use double sided tape prior to die cutting so everything I cut will basically be a sticker, making it really easy to put the pieces together quickly.
Once all my die pieces are colored up, I’ll go ahead and put them together on a piece of pink cardstock to match the vibe of the card. I really love the Valentine’s Words stencil and I inked it up with black ink on white cardstock, but I thought it was a little too plain so I inked up the corners just to add a little bit of pink to it.
Here is a quick video of how this came together

Sometimes a bold sentiment can stand on its own but it just ups the ante when you combine with other elements.

I have a ton of paper scraps so anytime I can use some up, I do it. This was a super easy way to do it and it was pretty easy to put together after you figure out how to place the pieces … so it’s kind of like a puzzle!

Using the eclipse card technique for a sentiment is always super fun but have you created an eclipse background … you’re simply popping up die cuts to create a more impactful card. I was able to use pattern paper, die cuts, and a heat embossed sentiment for a fairly simple card!
