Ink Blended Card Set – Little Fairies

Happy Friday-eve! Today, I’m sharing a bunch of cards featuring The Greeting Farm’s Little Fairies.

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

I colored up these images from the Greeting Farm’s Little Fairies awhile ago using Ink on 3’s Fadeout Ink and colored them using color markers. I also fussy cut them out. Originally, I thought I’d put them onto the same card, but because of their different hair colors, I thought it would work well as a card set. For all these cards, I used Trinity Stamps A2 Rectangles and A2 Circle stencils to help me mask off an area for ink blending.

CARD 1:

Ink Blended Background: Bee Sting Yellow, My Jam Purple, Peacock Blue, Paint it Black, Goddess Green

CARD 2:

Ink Blended Background: Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange, Bee Sting Yellow, Goddess Green

CARD 3:

Ink Blended Background: Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberries, Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot

CARD 4:

Ink Blended Background: Mermaid Lagoon, Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberries, Wilted Violet

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Quick & Easy Floral Cards | Trinity Stamps

Hi crafty friends! I’m sharing three cards today that feature one of Trinity Stamps‘s newest stamp sets, Wallflower. If you follow me, you know I’m a huge fan of florals. I love to color them, but sometimes there are ones that are super detailed that it just takes more time than I have.

I decided to take a fun approach to coloring up these florals quickly, by using a pouncing motion. Some of these florals aren’t even well blended and that’s ok! Everything was stamped and cut out using the Wallflower stamps and coordinating dies. For all the leaves, I used Bee Sting Yellow and Goddess Green. For all the sentiments, I stamped them using Versamark ink on black cardstock and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.

CARD 1:
For this card, I used the colors: Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange, and Bee Sting Yellow. I interchanged all the colors knowing this circle of roses was my plan. I added the sentiment on a strip across the middle of the floral frame.

CARD 2:
In this card, I used a variety of My Jam Purple, Peacock Blue and Marilyn Red. I decided to arrange the florals in the corner and add the sentiment in the middle of the card.

CARD 3:
This one was my personal favorite using rainbow colors. At first, I thought the blue threw off the entire card, but I kinda love how it pops on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create.

Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Celebrate with Fireworks!

Welcome to the weekend crafty friends and Happy July 4th!

This year, it’s a little different since my city cancelled their annual fireworks show . However, we can still celebrate with fireworks in a crafty way! First, if you didn’t know, there’s a sale over at Ellen Hutson. It’s 20% off everything – I already created a list to shop myself!

Next, I’m sharing a card featuring Trinity Stamp’s Layered Fireworks stencil that steals the show.

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

To create the background, I sprayed some Pixie Spray on the Trinity Stamp’s Layered Fireworks stencil and colored them carefully using Altenew’s Metallic Watercolors on Strathmore Black Mixed Media paper. For the images, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment using Trinity Stamp’s Sweet Surprise. For a few images, I used the bunnies from Lawn Fawn’s Wish Upon a Star. I inked up the sentiment using Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Forest Moss and mounted it on foam tape to the card panel.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Mirror Image | Waffle Flower

Hi crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring Waffle Flower’s stamp set named, Tumble On. I created this card for their Facebook group’s monthly challenge featuring rainbows!

All my supplies for creating this card will be listed down below (with multiple sources when available) for your curiosity and convenience. Affiliate links used when possible.

I stamped images from the Tumble On stamp set using Gina K Obsidian Amalgam ink. Then I colored them up using Copic markers (colors listed below). For the background, I used a rainbow array of Ink on 3’s Atelier Inks (Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange, Bee Sting Yellow, Goddess Green, and Peacock Blue). I added the sentiment by stamping on one line using masking.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you got some inspiration to create! Happy Crafting!

Birthday Gnomes Scene Card

Hi everyone! I’m so excited to share this card with you today as I think it’s just so freaking adorable. I’m using two of the newest stamp sets from Trinity Stamp‘s June Release: Make a Wish and Just For You. They are also celebrating their 2nd birthday and I thought this card was perfect for it!

Although Just for You and Make a Wish are two separate stamps, I thought they went together just perfectly. They are small enough at 2×3 to fit together for a scene card. I stamped these two out on Neenah Solar 80lb paper as well as on Eclipse masking paper using Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink.

I imagined that the girl gnome from Just for You was sitting with her presents at the bottom of the card and the boy gnome from Make a Wish was walking towards her with a cake.

Once I stamped the images out, I will be relying on distress inks to create the background for my scene. I used Picked Raspberries, Seedless Preserves, and Dusty Concord for my sky. Then, I wanted to map out the road where the Make a Wish gnome is walking by using Brushed Corduroy and essentially created a dirt path. To fill up the rest of the ground, I used a mix of Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles.

When I was happy with the background, I removed the Eclipse masking paper and colored the images using copic markers. I also used them to add a bit of texture to the dirt path (by dotting different shades of brown along the edges) and to the grass (adding blades).

To finish off this card with a sentiment, I decided to use the Happy Birthday sentiment from Just for You stamping it using Versamark ink on black cardstock with white embossing powder. I just needed the sentiment to pop among the colorful card.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Hi friends! Today, I’m sharing this card using LDRS Creative’s stamp set named, Float Your Boat, which is the most perfect stamp set for the summer. It was definitely a super fun card to put together – I basically tried to fit everything under the sun into this one!

P.S There’s also a sale: 10% off using code “SRJ10” on June 25-26, 2020.

To get everything on this card, I pulled out my Slimline Scallop die and mapped out how many of these images I could include. Since I was using the coordinating dies for Float Your Boat, I didn’t have to worry about masking and can focus on the background first.

For the background, I wanted to create a water scene but also have the little girl standing on land as well. For the beach, I used Coffee Bean and Iced Tea hybrid inks and blended it softly in the middle of the card. I blended Tropical Sea as a first layer on the rest of the card panel and using the Ocean Waves stencil, I added a second layer with Marina Madness. It gives the waters a fun texture that mimics waves in the scene.

I added the fun above ocean activities on the top panel of the card while the bottom was where the scuba divers would be. To give the feel of scuba diving, I used the Under the Sea stencil paired with Prickly Pear Perfection to add the bottom of the ocean elements.

Isn’t this card sooooo fun? I really love it!

Birthday Shaker Slimline | Penguin Palace

Hi friends! Today, I’m sharing a card featuring Penguin Palace’s Birthday Unicorn stamp set for a fun shaker slimline card.

I cut out a piece of Neenah Solar 80lb cardstock to create my main card panel. Normally, I like Bristol Smooth cardstock when I ink blend but since I’m using Ink on 3’s Atelier inks, it blends really well on either type of paper.

First, I stamped out the confetti images from Birthday Unicorn all over to create a background for this card. Then, I used Marilyn Red, Marigold Orange, and Bee Sting Yellow to cover up the panel. Since these inks are water reactive, I also sprinkled water all over to lift up the ink and leave behind a water splattered look.

I wanted to create a shaker card for this card, so I decided to use the Trinity Stamps – Slimline Card Series: Scalloped Card Panels & Banners for the main card base and then the Trinity Stamps – Slimline Card Series: Stitched Card Panels and Windows for the windows of the shaker.

I stamped out the images from Birthday Unicorn and colored them up using Copics (colors listed below). Once everything was ready, I added acetate to the back of the windows so my shaker bits won’t fall out. I wanted a relatively thin shaker so I only used one layer of foam tape. Using a variety of random glitter I had from my stash, I added it to the shaker.

To finish off this card, I stamped out the sentiment on white cardstock and added it to the card.

I hope you get inspired to create! I also have a video that shows my process:

Watercolor Scraps Card Set

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card set featuring a couple Waffle Flower stamp sets using all the watercolor scraps I’ve collected over the last few months. I wanted something simple and easy to use the scraps up.

I stamped out the images using Waffle Flower’s Be Her and Be Him stamp sets and quickly colored them up using alcohol markers. These two sets have a bunch of different accessories but since I was going for simple and easy, I just focused on the critters. Also, since I wanted to mass produce, I used the same sentiment for all 7 cars using Waffle Flower’s Across the Miles.

I wanted to use a bunch of dies to create shapes for the cards so first, I needed to create a bunch of background pieces. I pulled out some Canson XL watercolor paper and Stathmore Black Mixed Media paper along with Altenew’s Metallic Watercolors. I just played with the watercolors on all my scraps.

CARD 1 & 2:
Using the Altenew’s Metallic Watercolors on Stathmore Black Mixed Media, I simply used a dense brush and created lines in rainbow order. Using Honey Bee’s Deckle Rectangles, I cut out two different sized rectangles. I used them in two different directions adding the Unicorn from Be Her and the Bunny from Be Him.

CARD 3:
For my third card, I just went with something super simple from one of the scraps I didn’t particularly love. I used the three green shades from the Altenew’s Metallic Watercolors on Canson XL watercolor paper but using a bigger brush, two of the green colors didn’t seem all that different from each other. I used the retired Simon Says Stamp Scribble Heart & Arrow to die cut three hearts, and arranged them diagonally. I added the cat from Be Her at the bottom left and the sentiment in the top right.

CARD 4:
This card was as simple as Card 1 & 2, I used the purple and blue from the Altenew’s Metallic Watercolors on Canson XL watercolor paper to paint loosely. Once I was done, I splatter a bit of gold paint all over. Using Honey Bee’s Deckle Rectangles, I used one of the larger sizes. I trimmed down my white card panel, and matted it on glitter blue cardstock.

CARD 5 & 6:
These two cards came from different pieces of cardstock but with the same process. I loosely colored the watercolor panel in rainbow colors.

I used the more vibrant one and trimmed it down a bit, popped it on a piece of white cardstock. Using one of the copic markers I colored the fox from Be Her, I colored the edges of another card panel so everything would be cohesive.

The second piece was a bit lighter, so I chose to cut a different sized circles using Hero Arts – Infinity Circles. I placed the Be Her owl on the left corner and added the circles from biggest to smallest from top to bottom.

CARD 7:
For my last card, I colored a piece of Canson XL watercolor paper with different sized stripes in rainbow order. I trimmed down this piece in different sizes and arranged them on the card and alternated with strips of black cardstock.

To finish off the cards, I added embellishments to some or I matted them on a coordinating cardstock.

I hope you get inspired to create and use up your scraps for some quick cards. Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Birthday Photos!

Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card featuring a mixture of three dies and featuring the Lawn Fawn’s stamp sets: Happy Village & Bicycle Built for You.

I wanted to use the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer in a different way but I didn’t have the add ons so I improvised. I grabbed Ellen Hutson’s Instant Photo Frames and what do you know? It fits perfect over the square for the Picture Changer.

I went ahead and stamped out my little images that would fit into three different picture frames using a mix of Lawn Fawn’s Happy Village and Bicycle Built for You creating three mini scenes. The main one with the boy and his cake is the main one that I used for the Lawn Fawn Magic Picture Changer.

I wanted a sentiment to really pop so I used a mix of two Mama Elephant’s die cuts (Happy Script & Birthday Script) that combined really make a statement “Happy Birthday”.

To finish off this card, I just added some confetti sprinkled around the card.

I hope you get inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

Die Cut Hearts & Embossing

Hi crafty friends! I’m back today as a guest designer for Wow! Embossing Powder for another post. After my first project using only embossing powders and stampnig for a card, I couldn’t help but create another card using only embossing powders. This time, it’s strictly a die cut card, no stamping needed.

I wanted to play with die cut hearts so I used LDRS Creative’s Stitched Heart Die. This set comes with three sizes and I used the smallest two. Before die cutting, I swiped my white cardstock with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad to make my cardstock sticky for the embossing powders. I used three different colors: Glassy OceanBahama and MontserratGlassy Ocean is smooth and pretty where Bahama and Montserrat are both glittery and oh so fun!

I arranged them diagonally against an A2 black card panel. Once I decided on the placement, I glued it all down. I used the sentiment from LDRS Creative’s Open Heart die and glued it directly on the middle heart.

I thought that with just the hearts, it looked a little plain. Again, I swiped my white cardstock with WOW! Clear Ultra Slow Drying Embossing Pad and added Glassy Ocean so I could create strips. I also trimmed out a few pieces of white cardstock because Bahama and Montserrat both have white specks in the embossing powder.

The strips really added interest to the card and really finished it off. This card was a quick and easy card that required no stamping.

If you’re interested, my process video can be seen over at my YouTube channel.

Rainbows!

Hi crafty friends! My name is Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) and I’m back to share another card as a guest designer today. Today’s post focuses on one of Erin Lee Creative stamp sets named, Koko Girl Couch, that can also be found in their sale section along with its coordinating die, so now is definitely the time to pick it up. Also, I am using one of her Rainbow stencils found in the Somewhere kit

I’ve seen a lot of simple cards using the Rainbows from the Somewhere kit so I wanted to share a new way to incorporate it into a card. Rainbows are so fun to see when you look out a window. Since we’ve been staying inside more so than ever, I decided it would be perfect to use Koko Girl Couch with a rainbow outside her window.

For the window, I masked off the top right hand corner of this card panel and added each color one by one using distress inks. I did have to mask off each portion of the rainbow but with some masking tape, it was very quick to do.

I created a quick scene using a couple lines for the window and floor. I actually colored the Koko Girl Couch on a seperate piece of paper using no-line coloring and fussy cut her out. I have the coordinating die but I thought it would be prettier without the white outline. Once my scene was set, I just added her on there next to the window. I also used the sentiment from the Koko Girl Couch set. You’ll notice that I split the sentiment into two lines by masking to make it fit at the bottom right of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
