Christmas Rainbow | Honey Bee Stamps

I love a Christmas Rainbow, which is essentially Red, Orange, Yellow, and Green. This set isn’t the traditional Christmas florals and I love that so I paired it with some ink blending and then a simple heat embossed sentiment.

Sneak Peek Kit No. 10 | Waffle Flower + Giveaway

Hi friends, today, I’m sharing a card I created using the Sneak Peek Club kit No. 10 from Waffle Flower Crafts. The Sneak Peek Club kit is a monthly subscription that allows you to play with a handful of Waffle Flower products about a month before their official release date.

For today’s card, I used the Cattitude Die and Cat Tree House die main two die sets along with the Subsentiments Cat diecut. I thought both these die sets were fun… you can even use them separately if you wanted.

I didn’t get a chance to create a video for this one, but I did use ink blending and my copic markers to add some dimension to the Cat Tree House die. I definitely wanted to give definition and dimension to it. For the kitties in the Cattitude die, I used two copic colors. One for the base and a second darker color to add a couple lines of shadow.

In addition to the colorful kitties, I wanted to add some silhouette images to the backgorund. I masked off the top portion and used a distress oxide ink to ink up a night sky. I used two images in black cardstock and the idea is that there’s a window at the top of the card and they are outside in the night.

Draw In Borders | Pretty Pink Posh

I personally have a ton of stamps, dies and stencils but I don’t always have exactly what I need or want at a moment’s notice. I used these two images from Pretty Pink Posh to accent the corners of my card, but I felt like there wasn’t anything to pull it together so I grabbed a pen to draw borders in. It really grounded the layout and I loved how it brings the focus onto the sentiment. Be creative, use what you have, and you just might end up with the perfect card.

Light Coloring & A Bold Background | Trinity Stamps

I love detailed images but sometimes it’s intimidating to color… so I have this trick with using light color copic markers to do quick coloring. I use a color that easily fades into white and a shade just a bit darker and it works so well! I went with a bold sentiment to create a background and I just love the contrast.

When you find a really good full stencil, it’s the best! You can easily create a bunch of cards pretty quickly and change up the colors to switch up the vibe of the card.
