I have two cards to share with you today featuring the Card Kit of the Month and the Layering Stencil Set of the Month. The connecting feature is actually the Layering Stencil Set of the Month used for both cards and it kind of works as coordinating cards.

My first project focuses on the Layering Stencil Set of the Month. Spooky cards are my favorite and this kit fits the bill. It’s the perfect stencil pattern for a background. There are four layers, so I picked out four Core Ink colors to use: Papaya, Butter Bar, Moss and Orchid. I also wanted to use the Card Kit for the images. This is a layering set, so lots of ink colors! For both, I used Sand and Antique Ivory for the base. For the man, I used Espresso and Charcoal. For the woman, I used Orchid and Grape Juice. I also die cut the frames in this Card Kit, using ___ cardstock. I used Intens-ified Black Ink to stamp the sentiment and die cut it with the coordinating dies. I placed the Layering Stencil Set at the bottom of my card panel, and the framed individuals on top with the sentiment at the bottom of the frames.

The second card focuses on the August Card Kit of the Month, especially the woman and man as my spotlight. To start off, I stamp all the layers to create their look. For the base of the man and woman, I used Sand and Antique Ivory. For the woman, I used Cotton Candy and Ultra Pink and for the man, I used Cornflower and Nautical. After stamping, I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also stamp the the spider web using the Embossing & Watermark ink and embossed it using Satin Pearl embossing powder on Pitch Black cardstock. I used the portion I trimmed from the Layering Stencil placing it at the bottom of the card panel and stamped the sentiment from the Stamp and Cut set with Intens-ified Black Ink right on top. I use the Crystal Ball die from the Stamp and Cut of the Month so I can place the images inside and that is the focal point of my card!
