I had this Ellen Hutson set, which I love since I love the library nostalgia but no book related sets until I pulled out my Waffle Flower A Little Help stamp set. It came together so perfectly.

I’m super excited to share my card for today showcasing a couple of the new release items from Pretty Pink Posh. I’ve never been a huge fan of Halloween cards but last year, I really got into them and now, I’m loving when it rolls around. This new release from Pretty Pink Posh has me super excited and once I saw the Ghost Friends, I had to bring back the flashlight card. I’ve done it previously here but I wanted to show a second way of creating it — it’s easy and super fun for the kiddies (even if you’re not a cardmaker)!
To start off, I stamped out a little scene using Ghost Friends and I wanted to use all of them, including a sentiment. Then I used the Spooky Sky stencil from last year’s Halloween release — you can use this or anything else you want — and used it as a literal stencil with a pencil. Once I had my scene ready to go, I pulled out an A2 shaker pocket and slipped my card panel inside but don’t close it up!
Using an ultra fine point sharpie, I went ahead and traced all my images. Alternatively, you could stamp out the images using Stazon because it’ll work on acetate. Then once all my images are traced, I’m going to go ahead and color it. It’s helpful to add a white panel under the acetate so you can see your coloring. For coloring on acetate, I’m using Sharpies — specifically the ones with the brush tip because it’s easier and quicker to color. You can also use any alcohol markers as well (these leave a bit of residue so I would suggest using an anti-static powder on top to remove the stickiness). Once I finished coloring, I’ll remove the white panel and insert a black panel, flip it over, and remove the release paper so it can adhere to the black cardstock. Then I freehand a flashlight and coloring it up with copic markers and the ray of light will be colored in yellow to give it a realistic look. Once I’m done, I’ll go ahead and fussy cut it out. Then let’s go ghost hunting!!!

Floaties are the best part of going into summer — I think. I love them but I rarely get that chance to hit the beach because in San Francisco, our beaches are cold. But when I get a chance to go into warm water, you best believe that I take a floatie with me to lounge and float away. I can’t believe it took me so long for me to pull out this set. The project I’m sharing today is a flat shaker card — these are super fun to make. The Trinity Stamps Shimmer Sea Hot Foil is finally back in stock, and I had to use it for this collab. I went ahead and hot foiled an entire panel of teal green cardstock using Disco Ball foil, but I did trim it down just a bit because I wanted a sky peeking out. To create the sky, I used Blueprint Sketch and Spun Sugar.
I stamped images from Friend Ship, You Go Gull, and Otter Side. They work perfectly together for my little water scene! I colored them up quickly using copic markers.
I used my Xyron sticker maker for the rest of my images, turning them into stickers and decorated the outside of my shaker to finish off this card. I’m so happy to shake, shake, shake this card! Shaker cards are super fun because they make noise and they are just fun to play with. I created a subtle one because you can’t really see the pieces but you can definitely hear it!

Using Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Frames, I created a shaker case and popped it up on two layers of foam so I could fit real coffee beans in the card. Once I added the beans, I closed it up and if you could only smell this card! Any coffee lover would adore it!

Happy mid-week everyone! Today, I’m participating in an instagram hop for the Wild Hearts card drive, which is an organization that assists dogs with mobility issues and their human families. Ricky is asking all his crafty Instagram friends to send cards to help support this wonderful organization. For today’s card, I’m creating a step up card in both A2 and Slimline sizes using alongside the Gerda Steiner Designs stamp set, Puppy Mail.

I stamped images from the Puppy Mail stamp set using Ink on 3’s Blackout ink. Then I colored two sets of images from this set up using copic markers. Since these two cards are based on dimensions, I’ll have them listed below.

Main card panel is 5.25 x 8.5. I do this because the dog house will be .25 inch over, so it’ll fit into an A2 envelope.
