One of my favorite things to do is ink blend, stamp, and then color up a background with a black marker. It makes for a pretty easy card and mindless coloring. The major up side is that you end up with a really pretty and colorful card.

I easily forget that you can use stencils in different ways and not in its entirety, which gives it a different look. That’s what I did here and I think it creates such a pretty card with a little bit of masking.

Ok — I’ll admit that I haven’t used my Altenew Stamp Wheel enough and I really should. It is the best little stamper, especially when you want to create an easy circular pattern without much effort and even more so, when you have small images to use with it!

Pattern paper works well as a base and then you can add to them to create the look you want. I did that here with a piece from the Textiles & Textures Vintage paper pack and this card really came to life!

A large stencil — it’s great to fill up an entire panel but I couldn’t help add just a bit more color for it to really pop! Add a sentiment and that’s really all you need.

Hi friends, today, I’m sharing a card I created using the Sneak Peek Club kit No. 2 for 2024 from Waffle Flower Crafts. The Sneak Peek Club kit is a monthly subscription that allows you to play with a handful of Waffle Flower products about a month before their official release date. Check out more inspiration on Waffle Flower’s blog as well!
For today’s card, I totally fell in love with these little strawberries in the Multiple Strawberries Die-n-Stencil. They are so cute! I really wanted them to look dimensional so I used a few colors to ink these up: Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Candied Apple, Rustic Wilderness, Pine Needles. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out as well.
I pulled out the Gingham Paper and used those die cut strawberries lined up on edge of my pattern paper. I thought it would be fun to have a funky edge. I pulled out a piece of green cardstock to back up that piece for a pop of color.
To finish off this card, I used the Subsentiments – Berry Sweet to quickly add the sentiment. I kinda love these because my favorite way to stamp sentiments is using white embossing on black cardstock — this saves me the trouble of stamping and heat embossing.

These were one of the first things that caught my eye when this new release came out. I had to get my hands on it to use it immediately and they were so fun to put together. Not only that, they are mini! Mini anything makes it so much cuter – don’t you agree?

Using alcohol markers was something I’ve practiced over time – lots of videos, lots of coloring. You pick up small techniques along the way and it really just needs time. I kind of got the effect of foil balloons here (I think!).

For today, I’m sharing this colorful birthday card that I put together using one of the new items from Pretty Pink Posh’s February’s release in conjunction with one of the stamp sets from lat month’s release.
I really wanted to do something fun since Pretty Pink Posh is celebrating 10 years! It was a cause for celebration and why not use all the colors! I did a ton of stamping, masking, ink blending and coloring and I just adore how this card turned out.
Here is my coordinating YouTube video if you want to see how I created this card!

Hi friends, today, I’m sharing a card I created using the Sneak Peek Club kit No. 1 for 2024 from Waffle Flower Crafts. The Sneak Peek Club kit is a monthly subscription that allows you to play with a handful of Waffle Flower products about a month before their official release date.
For today’s card, I wanted to use all the items in the kit. I started off with using the Daisy Background Stencil Duo to create my background. I used it them on top of an 6×6 grip mat to make it easy on me, ink blending with distress inks. I used my shader brushes to really get colors in certain areas, which makes it really easy to get a dimensional look to the florals.
I really loved the font from the You & Me stamp set, so I wanted to create a little panel with the subsentiments but I also wanted to still use the large “you & me”.
I used the Layered Daisy die to add subtle accents around my sentiment. It’s super subtle but I love how it adds to it but doesn’t take away from the sentiment. If you want to see how this card came together visually, I have a video!

One of my favorite things to do is ink blending. It was one of the first skills that I picked up when I started cardmaking and it’s been a favorite ever since. Even though sometimes, it isn’t blended super well, you add a little splatter and you don’t even notice!

Two of my favorite techniques are used on this card: Ink blending + Masking! Sometimes stamps just don’t come with coordinating dies and masking is my trick to being able to pair it with ink blending. Although my background is bold, I still think these elephants pop!
