Hero Studio – November Countdown

Hi friends — We’re kicking off the countdown to the October Hero Studio release today and I’m sharing a card using the Clear Stamp & Dies of the Month.

Ok — if you’re a cat lover, this set is definitely for you… and you know those kitties love the Christmas tree around the holidays and they are kinda naughty! I used Hero Arts INTENSI-ified Black Ink to stamp the three cats, the paw print, and the sentiment. I just drew in the lines to create the look of a room right after.

This is one of those cards where the images create the scene and my personal favorite cat is the one clawing down the wall. He adds the dimension to the card and helps create the look of walls on this card.

This was a relatively simple card since it was stamping and then coloring! Hope you liked it!

Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the Hero Studio collection leading up to the release!  And then I’ll be back for the Hero Studio blog hop with a couple more projects to share!

Hero Studio – September Countdown

Hi friends — We’re kicking off the countdown to the September Hero Studio release today and I’m sharing a card using the Card Kit of the Month.

I wanted to feature the main stamp set in this month’s card kit. It’s full of silhouettes and it’s so fun for Halloween! I did a lot of stamping with Hero Arts INTENSI-ified Black Ink and Clear Embossing & Watermark Ink right on top so I could do a bit of heat embossing using Ultra Fine Clear Embossing Powder. It was a lot of stamping but there’s a huge variety of silhouettes to choose from to create a fun scene and I wanted to use as many images as possible.

Once I stamped and heat embossed everything, I pulled out a bunch of core ink colors to do some ink blending. I used Charcoal and Forever Green for the ground. For the lights in the house and the bats in the moon, I used Butter Bar. For the sky, I used Nautical, Grape Juice, and Crimson.

To finish this off, I used the Glow in the Dark Laquer pen to add touches to the windows so it can glow.

Hero Studio – July Countdown

Hi friends — We’re kicking off the countdown to the July Hero Studio release today and I’m sharing a card using one of the Monthly Minis – Cling Stamp of the Month. For the Monthly Mini – Cling Stamp of the Month, it will be available by subscription at a discounted price ($15 subscription + Free Shipping) or at regular price ($15.99), while supplies last. Available until sold out.

I wanted to feature this really fun cling stamp, which gives you ocean vibes with all the tentacles. There’s a lot going on but once you start coloring, it makes it really easy. I stamped this using the Hero Arts INTENSI-ified Black Ink and the easiest way for me to color this up is to do a bit of ink blending using three colors from the Core Ink line: Butter Bar, Fresh Lawn, and Summer Sky.

Once I inked up the entire panel , I took my black alcohol marker to color up the background, making the tentacles really pop! I used some similar copic markers to add a bit of darker details on the spots of the tentacles.

Now I don’t do this often, but I decided to cut this colored panel up a bit so I could create an artsy look. I really love how it turned out. To finish off this card, I pulled out the Happy Thanks stamp set for a simple sentiment.
