You definitely can’t always find the exact supplies for what you want to make. Here, I wanted to create the Lover house so I did it myself. I just pulled up a picture, grabbed a pencil and a ruler and tried to recreate it. It’s a simple background but I really wanted the sentiment to shine.

There’s no such thing as too much glimmer! I used a silvery paste along with perfect pearls to add shimmer. I also used a white gel pen to create a faux glitter look to my die cut sentiment. Best believe — I can still make the whole card shimmer.

Last year, I went to the Eras Tour and now, I’m really appreciating Taylor Swift so when I got a peek at this kit, I knew I had to have it, use it, and to do it justice. I freaking love how this card turned out. The snake is my favorite part. I went in with a lighter green and then darkened up certain areas to create that dimension that just pops here!

When you find a really good full stencil, it’s the best! You can easily create a bunch of cards pretty quickly and change up the colors to switch up the vibe of the card. Once you get into hot foil, it’s one of those things that can easily produce multiple cards quickly. You can use the them to create quick cards since the foil plate takes all the focus. I was able to easily create these four cards without much thinking and I bet you can too!

Hot foils are such an interesting crafty technique because it’s so razzle dazzle and glimmery, especially when you do a reverse hot foil because you use the remaining hot foil pieces. I thought to tone down this reverse hot foil frame, I chose a few die cut pieces to pair it with. I thought it worked really well and I was so happy with the outcome.

The elegance of hot foil is great but I love to add a bit of color to it as well. I used copic markers to color this up with a fall palette and it just goes so well with the hot foiled gold accents.
