A couple weeks ago, I used this same embossing folder but with copic markers — it was so extra. Here, it’s an easier way to add some dimension to an embossing folder – Ink blending! It just amps it up! I love how this turned out.

It usually takes me a lot to pull out heavy die cut sets, mainly because I like to stamp and color. However, if you follow me, you know I color up my die cuts and usually that’s why I don’t use them too often — it’s a little too fussy for me but this set is amazing, the cat is so freaking adorable!

Using the colors – blue, red, and. yellow – generally should create the colors of the rainbow. Here, I kinda kept it separated and I’m really love the bright colors. I’m beginning to really love embossing folders, especially the very detailed ones. Add a little black distress ink and it really emphasizes the details!

I can’t ever resist using an embossing folder with lunar paste because it just accents how cool the dimension looks! But with this snowflake folder and silver paste — it looks like snow and gives that very wintery vibe! I love it.

Adding Texture | Honey Bee Stamps

A simple trick to elevating your card is to use an embossing folder to add texture to your background. I didn’t want it to overtake the card since my focal image leaves a bit of blank space so I used additional color blocking to fill up the card in a subtle way.

Is there a crafty technique that you’ve avoided? For me, it’s been 3D embossing folders — but not anymore! I just never took the time to figure out how they worked and I couldn’t ever remember the sandwich combination for them. I also really like coloring and usually with the folders, you just don’t need to. I had to bring my own flair to it and used rainbow colors to create this pretty simple card!
