Coloring Die Cuts | Honey Bee Stamps

When I first saw this set and all the little pieces, I was intimidated. My best advice is just to jump in and die cut it all. I know dies make it easy because you can die cut out colored cardstock but I like die cutting with white cardstock and coloring it up!

Partial Stenciling | Trinity Stamps

The best part of stencils is that you can easily mask them to do some partial stenciling, stretching your supplies for a different look. I did this her with the background and it provides a focus point for my image since I didn’t use the bold pattern for the full background.

Hot Foiling and Using the Reverse | The Sassy Club

Are you a fan of the Magic Kingdom? I am! So when I first saw the Mouse Gold Foil plate, I had to have it — ASAP! I sat down and hot foiled a ton of background panels, both using the plate and then the leftover foil pieces with a solid plate to get the reverse of the plate so nothing would be wasted! Let’s create something other than a card today — Trinity Stamp’s newest release includes this lantern die that is perfect for cut decor around the house. I created these two for Chinese New Year — keeping with the red and gold. Also, I’m from San Francisco — Go Niners!

I’ll walk you through the process but I promise, even though it looks a bit intimidating, it’s really easy once you put it together once and you can use so many different items. I even used a money envelope for one of these.
