Warning! This Set Contains Magic

I’m back to share a fun, magical card, using the Planner Street set,  “Warning: This Set Contains Magic”. I’m definitely bit of a girly girl who loves unicorns and glitter. Naturally, when I first saw this set, I just knew I had to combine the two!

In creating this card, I started by coloring and fussy cutting three of the images and heat embossing the sentiment onto my pink background. I chose a glitter cardstock for the frame. After all, there’s no such thing as TOO much glitter.

Inline image 2I wanted the unicorn to move around in the card but only in the middle of it. By using clear thread to hold the unicorn, you can’t really see it and it makes the unicorn look magical since it moves on it’s own in the middle of the card. I added foam tape around the card, which will be hidden by the glitter frame. The string will be sandwiched between the layers of foam tape.

Inline image 3Since I’m using pretty small glitter, I want to make sure the foam tape isn’t sticky so I made sure to use a powder tool around the frame. Once it was ready to go, I added sequins and glitter. As all crafters know, glitter is naturally clingy and gets everywhere. It still got everywhere but it wasn’t as bad as I anticipated.

Inline image 5I attached acetate to the frame and placed the frame on top of the foam tape. Once that was complete, i just needed to decorate the front with my remaining images. To make things easier, I used a Xyron sticker maker which adds adhesive to the back of my images, essentially creating a sticker.

Voila! This fun card has glitter and sequins shaking throughout AND the unicorn moves. It’s a super fun card, don’t you think?

Spinning Card – More Than Pie

Hey everyone, today I’m using the More than Pie stamp set. I noticed the bear that wasn’t holding any pie and wanted to surround him with pies!

Using acetate, I created a spinner wheel for the pies to stick to and spin around the bear. For the bear to be in front, I had to create a stationary piece that the pies can move freely behind. That’s where foam tape comes in handy.

It’s a bit hard to explain in words, so I’m also including my YouTube Video Tutorial for it.

Regardless, I think the card comes out to be really cute and it’s an easy card made interactive by adding a brad to it. The acetate also makes it look like the pies are floating as long as you don’t look too closely.

Hopefully, you enjoyed this card and checked out the video to learn how to create one as well. Supplies are also listed below.

Thanks for visiting and I’m sure I’ll be back with another card for you guys soon.

I wanted to do something fun, and I really just wanted to use every stamp in the set. The best part is that since the card is pretty flat, you don’t expect the piggies to move but they do! They float in the water!

Vellum paper
Distress Inks
MFT Scalloped Edge Dies
